Computing Support

The computing support at TRIUMF is provided by various groups throughout the site.


 

 

Core Computing and Networking

The CCN group manages the network infrastrcuture at TRIUMF and provides core computing services such as: 

  • email
  • printing
  • file storage
  • web site hosting

The group also provides services for desktop computing, such as: 

  • MS-Windows deployment
  • Installation of productivity software
  • Hardware purchasing support
  • Diagnosis and repair of PC-hardware related problems

ATLAS Tier 1

TRIUMF houses one of the main data centres of CERN, as part of a grid computing system which distributes LHC data access and operations. 

Data Acquisition

DAQ provides support for the computing systems used by experimenters to collect data.

Management Information Systems

MIS provides administration and web support at TRIUMF.
