About the Tour
TRIUMF’s Tour is a walking tour of the facility.
- Tours are given by researchers who will be able to answer your questions
- You will begin your tour in the lobby at the small scale model of TRIUMF where you’ll hear a general description and history of the site
- Afterwards the guide(s) will walk you through part of the experimental buildings where you will see first-hand where TRIUMF experiments are done
We cannot tell you everything about our facility during the tour—there simply is not enough time! But please ask, as the guides are prepared to answer questions throughout the tour.
Before going on the Tour:
- Please let the guide know if you have a pacemaker. Strong magnetic fields do not allow people with pacemakers on some parts of the tour
- There will be stairs on the tour, so if you are pregnant or disabled, some parts may be difficult
- In some cases, tours can be arranged in other languages
