Reka Moldovan of Kelowna, B.C., was this year's winner of TRIUMF's High School Fellowship. Reka was chosen from a group of 99 top graduating secondary school physics students in the province, and she was awarded a $3000 scholarship and a six-week work experience at TRIUMF.

Reka was supervised by Prof. Jess Brewer of UBC in the muSR program. During her time at TRIUMF, she volunteered to give a talk at the Undergraduate Student Summer Symposium, and attended the Nuclei in the Cosmos Conference (NIC8). For her term report, she presented a NIC8 summary talk to the TRIUMF undergraduate summer students. Reka is a truly outstanding student, and TRIUMF wishes her well as she begins her studies at UBC this fall.

The Fellowship program is offered in cooperation with the BC Innovation Council (www.bcinnovationcouncil.com). The program is being offered again this year with the possibility of more than one Fellowship being offered. For more details, click here.
