As described in an article advertised on the front page of the Vancouver Courier, Lia Merminga has enjoyed her first 10 days at TRIUMF.
"Lia Merminga, who recently accepted one of Canada's most senior scientific posts, hopes to inspire girls and young women to pursue their science dreams. 'Young girls ought to realize that if they love science and math, they should not feel intimidated. They should just follow what they like to do,' the internationally recognized physicist said."
