Here's what our Technicians are saying...

"What I love about my mechanical design job at TRIUMF is the constantly changing and unique requirements of the job, such as designing with factors like high vacuum, radiation resistance, shielding, and, of late the fascination of superconducting cryogenic particle accelerators. What I love about TRIUMF is the amount of freedom and responsibility that is bestowed upon its employees and a work environment that values your brain more than your wardrobe."

- Tim Emmens, Mechanical Designer

"What makes TRIUMF special is its people. Working in a supportive environment which allows one to learn every day is very rewarding."

- Claire Mocock, Accelerator Operator

"Working at TRIUMF makes me feel part of an international family that has a vested interest in the overall success of the laboratory. As a mechanical designer, I am involved in a variety of projects, each uniquely challenging and calling on various abilities. I find great satisfaction in initiating the creative flow that starts with an idea, gains momentum as it takes shape in the form of a 3 dimensional model, then in its physical form, and culminates in the realization of the initial idea."

- Daniel Rowbotham, Applied Engineering Technology Manager - Design Office
