Annual General Meeting

Light refreshments and pastries will be served during coffee breaks.

The meeting will feature community-nominated science talks by graduate students as well as a roundtable discussion with TRIUMF's senior management to better align & communicate needs, resources, and future plans.

The scope of this second ARIEL Science Workshop is:

  • to inform the international scientific community of the capabilities of ARIEL and ISAC;
  • to highlight technical progress made on various aspects of the project;
  • to identify unique and world-leading scientific opportunities for ARIEL and ISAC in all phases of the ARIEL project, particularly for the materials science and nuclear physics program;
  • and to describe the construction and funding status as well as possibly refining the planned implementation scenario.
  • Special attention will be paid to early implementation of a 9Be production target with 8Li production via electron-driven photo disintegration of 9Be.

Scientific Symposium in honour of Gordon Ball

Everyone is invited to attend a Scientific Symposium in honour of Gordon Ball's career. TRIUMF will be hosting a barbeque reception at 16:00 at the TRIUMF Hot Spot Cafe & Courtyard to celebrate. The poster for this scientific symposium can be found here.

For accommodations, please contact TRIUMF House online. Please contact TRIUMF House as soon as you know when you are planning to be at TRIUMF. TRIUMF House operates on a first come, first served basis. There are 34 rooms at TRIUMF House and the summer is a busy time for them. Book now to avoid disappointment.
