From the Director Dr. Alan Astbury 25 July 2014 Dr. Alan Astbury, Professor Emeritus of Physics at the University of Victoria, died on July 21 following a brief illness.  Alan, a leading figure in Canadian science, served as Director of TRIUMF from 1994-2001. 
Awards & Honours Doug Storey Honoured by NSERC 04 June 2013 UVic Ph.D. candidate Doug Storey announced as a winner of the NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship for his work in accelerator physics at TRIUMF. Congratulations! 
Awards & Honours Doug Bryman awarded 2024 CAP-TRIUMF Vogt Medal 15 April 2024 This year’s CAP-TRIUMF Vogt Medal has been awarded to Professor Doug Bryman. Professor Bryman holds the J. B. Warren Chair and is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of British Columbia and is an Affiliate Scientist at TRIUMF.
