Particle Phys/SciTec Seminar: High Pressure TPC for neutrino-nucleus interaction measurements
Speaker: Federico Sánchez, IFAE Barcelona
Location: Auditorium
Time: 11:00
The running and future neutrino oscillation experiments require more and more precision in the modelling of neutrino interactions with nuclei. The uncertainties in the models will be soon one of the limiting factors in the oscillation experiments. There is a large activity in the world about this subject with theoretical and experimental proposals. One of the possibilities is to ignore the problem with the NuPrism approach. Other alternatives is to launch a campaign of precise measurements. We will discuss the state of the art of the cross-section knowledge describing briefly the different developments and present the possibility of a precision measurements using a dedicated experiment based on a High Pressure Time Projection Chamber.
