At the December 1, 2006 meeting of the TRIUMF Board of Management the Board voted unanimously to admit L'Université de Montréal as a Full Member of the TRIUMF Joint Venture. L'Université de Montréal had been an Associate Member and their Full Member status became effective April 1, 2007.
At this meeting, Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur, Chair of the TRIUMF Board of Management, said he was delighted to welcome L'Université de Montréal as a full member of the TRIUMF Joint Venture. Full membership is a natural evolution of L'Université de Montréal's long-time association with TRIUMF and will certainly further confirm the Laboratory's position as a leader in nuclear, particle, and astrophysics research and discovery.
There are now seven Full Members of the TRIUMF Joint Venture:
