Awards & Honours Englert, Higgs Share 2013 Nobel Prize 08 October 2013 The 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to François Englert and Peter W. Higgs "for the theoretical discovery of a mechanism that contributes to our understanding of the origin of mass of subatomic particles, and which recently was confirmed through the discovery of the predicted fundamental particle, by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN's Large Hadron Collider."

Workshops & Conferences Cyclotron Conference a Great Success 05 October 2013 TRIUMF was privileged to host the 20th International Conference on Cyclotrons and their Applications a few weeks ago; the conference attracted 250 experts and students to discuss this exciting field.
